Otto’s Revenge is an indie rock band with strong punk influences that was originally active in the St. Louis music scene from 1989 to 1997. The band reunited in 2014.

The band is also notable for curating and producing The Guide to Fast Living compilation series of St. Louis area punk and alternative bands in the 1990s. The compilations gave greater exposure to local bands while also raising awareness of Kids Under Twenty One (KUTO), a helpline for teens: http://www.kuto.org

In August 2014, the band reunited and immediately began writing new material.

While the band’s music has always been driven by a punk rock core, the sound explores a variety of sounds and genres, including elements of jazz, garage and indie rock.

Shut Up I’m Thinking – The Otto’s Revenge Story

A documentary film about Otto's Revenge “Shut Up I’m Thinking – The Otto’s Revenge Story” was produced between 2014 and 2016 and released October 1, 2016. The film was produced by St. Louis area filmmaker Ashley Seering.

Otto’s Revenge was founded in St. Louis in 1989 by Jerry Morgenthaler and Kurt Hoffmann. The band was active in the St. Louis music scene originally from 1989 through 1997, producing 3 records and playing countless live shows.

Most members of the band also lived together for most of the band's history in 3 different houses in St. Louis, the longest being in the Bevo neighborhood in South St. Louis. Basement shows and parties were a regular part of the Otto's Revenge experience.
