Otto’s Revenge celebrates 25 years since its founding.
Otto’s Revenge is an American punk/alternative band founded in St. Louis in 1989 by Jerry Morgenthaler and Kurt Hoffmann. The band was active in the St. Louis music scene originally from 1989 through 1997, producing 3 records and playing countless live shows.
The band is also notable for curating and producing The Guide to Fast Living compilation series of St. Louis area punk and alternative bands in the 1990s. The compilations gave greater exposure to local bands while also raising awareness of Kids Under Twenty One (KUTO), a helpline for teens: http://www.kuto.org
In August 2014, the band reunited and immediately began writing new material.
Current lineup includes:
- Jeff Boedeker – bass
- Steve Dachroeden – drums
- Dan Stevens – saxophone
- Jason Paiva – saxophone
- Jerry Morgenthaler – guitar
- Kurt Hoffmann – vocals, guitar
While the band’s music has always been driven by a punk rock core, the sound explores a variety of sounds and genres, including elements of jazz, garage and indie rock.
